Gleam HANDMADE IN THE UK
Multiple vintage Germanium fuzz tones (Tone Bender MKI, MKII, Fuzz Face, and FZ-1) in one temperature stable Silicon pedal. The carefully crafted circuit can perfectly mimic the full rich mids and rude break-up of the OC81D transistor.
  • Highly accurate Germanium fuzz tones using Silicon
  • Heavy duty knobs with brass inserts
  • V2 now provides an external Bias control for noise gated, and 8-bit sounds
  • Passive EQ, Impedance Switch, and Tone Switch for maximum flexibility
Controls: Bass, Mid Cut, Treble, Volume, Bias, Gain, Impedance Switch (MKI, FZ-1, MKII/Fuzz Face), and Tone Switch (Fuzz Face, MKI/FZ-1, MKII)

Enclosure Dimensions: L 121mm, W 66mm, H 40mm

(Please use 9V DC only, the voltage is increased internally)

No ICs are used in the audio path, only transistors and passive circuitry to best preserve the tonality and dynamics of your guitar.

Gleam is a Silicon based fuzz that can precisely recreate the sound of several vintage Germanium fuzz pedals, the Tone Bender MKI, MKII, Fuzz Face, and FZ-1. This gives you the best of both worlds, the stability of Silicon and the tone of Germanium. The internal 9V to 25V conversion, along with other carefully crafted elements of the circuit, allow the Silicon transistors to accurately mimic the sound of the OC81D transistor, providing exceptional distortion characteristics and dynamics. Roll back your guitar's volume a little and enjoy some truly inspiring touch sensitive fuzz.

The Bias control provides even more sonic possibilities, turn it down for a more choppy/reedy fuzz effect, a little lower for an effective noise gate, and all the way down for 8-bit video game sounds.

The Impedance Switch gives you access to the low input impedance tones of the MKII and Fuzz Face, the higher impedance of the MKI, or the lower gain of the FZ-1. The Tone Switch can replicate the high frequency roll-off cap on the input of the MKII, the warmth of the higher capacitance transistors of a Fuzz Face, or the untouched clarity of the MKI/FZ-1. These controls in combination with the passive EQ allow for an incredibly wide range of tonalities so you're sure to find your sound.

Ideally your guitar should be plugged straight into Gleam for the most authentic sound and functionality.

The white dots (position markers) on the enclosure indicate the correct setting to achieve a neutral or flat EQ.
